Drunken Stampers Challenge #134 – Enchanted

Happy Happy Saturday!!! Can you believe this is our last “official” challenge for this term?? Where has the time gone?? The Drunken Stampers want to wish a very happy & safe Canada Day and Independence Day to all our Canadian and American friends who will be celebrating this week.

Thanks to everyone who played along with last week’s “Edward Scissorhands” challenge. This week the Bahama Mamas are back and bringing you projects inspired by the movie “Enchanted.” Remember, our challenge to you this term is to make your card using the movie (Enchanted) or you can use FAIRY TALES or if you’re feeling adventurous, use both!

Looking for fun crafty peeps for the Drunken Stampers Fall Term

Calling all creative people! 🙂

Do you have a current crafting blog?
Do you love a challenge?
Do you love to create?
Do you need an excuse to create?
Can you meet a deadline?
Do you like hanging out with like minded crafters? (we’re an off beat, enthusiastic and somewhat crazy bunch…)
Have you blurfed around our blog to see to we’re about and think…wow, it feels like home!

If you answered yes to the any of the above then you should apply for the Drunken Stampers Design Team!!
We’re looking for 5-7 designers to join us. In addition, we’re looking for 5 guest designers to play along…one a month.

What do you need to do?

1. Tell us your name, a little bit about yourself and how you would describe your style. (we’re looking for all different styles)

2. send us 3 pictures of what you think are your best cards/projects.

3. Let us know if you are on any other teams? (past or present and if you don’t have DT experience…that’s okay too)

4. Have a blog that you keep current (your 6 most recent posts should be no more than 4 months old), please send us a link so we can check it out! (as well as any other galleries) We love to see what everyone is up to!

5. Which position are you interested in? (Full Meal Deal or just the burger?)

What do you get????

FUN!! Sometimes (rarely) we have sponsors who provide us with stamps to use, but that is not what we are about! We are here to have fun and inspire each other on our creative journey.

Your term will start in August and be 5 months long, possibly longer 🙂 You would need to create 2-3 cards a month (as there are 3 challenge Saturdays in August & November).

Meet our Guest Designer for June

Introducing Cat of Cat Scrap Fever as our Guest Designer for the month of June! YaY!!! Welcome Cat!!

Just check out this wonderful blingy card Cat put together for yesterday’s challenge (#130 Breakfast at Tiffany’s).

Isn’t it just simply fabulous???! Now let’s get to know the crafter behind the card… here’s Cat!

1. What’s your favourite drink when crafting?

Nothing! I’m such a klutz that I can’t trust myself to have any liquid of any sort around – not even liquid glue! If I occasionally do have a drink around, its usually a bottle of water. And it has to be in a bottle so I can put the cap on in case I knock it over.

2. What’s your favourite colour to craft with?

For some reason I use a lot of pink. Which is kind of odd because I’m not a real girly kind of girl. But I like to create lots of pretty, flowery, ruffle-y kinds of things – you know pink stuff.

3. What’s the #1 tool you cannot live without?

I cannot make anything without my ATG. It really is the only tool that I use on almost every single paper craft project I do.

4. Glue: Liquid or tape?

Duh! Did you read the answer to question #1. Smile Seriously, I am a klutz so it has to be tape (hence the need for my ATG).

5. Your fave project

My favourite project in the last while is the scrapbook layout I made of my little dog, Mitzy. Its funny that I’ve become a dog person with the nickname Cat, but this little dog has become our baby. I really like the layout because, first, it doesn’t use pink and uses my favourite colour blue (or shades of it). And second, I like it because it has so much dimension. I’ve been trying to step up my scrapbook pages and I like where this one ended up. And lastly, I like that I was able to take a digital scrapbook layout I did and make it into a paper layout. Next, I’m going to work on incorporating stamps on my scrapbook pages. Might as well, I have a whole room full of them. 🙂
